Carlisle Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic was established in 1996 by Judy Hattle after working for several years in the NHS and in a Private Hospital. The Clinic has prospered and now has Judy and four part time physiotherapists working there. All physiotherapists working at the Clinic are Members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and are registered with the Health Professions Council. The physiotherapists are recognised by all the major medical insurance companies (BUPA, AXA/PPP, WPA, AVIVA) and four are members of Physiofirst which is the organisation for Physiotherapists in Private Practice. We treat musculoskeletal conditions (acute and chronic) – spinal problems, sprains and strains of joints, muscles and ligaments - repetitive strain injuries, whiplash injuries, problems related to arthritis and sports injuries. The Clinic receives referrals from General Practitioners, Consultants and the Clients themselves (Self Referral). Referrals are also made by Insurance companies for people who have sustained injuries in Road Traffic Accidents or accidents at work. We also have links with local Solicitors who deal with Personal Injury Claims and we have contracts with the Cumbria Police, Cumbria Ambulance and the Royal Mail. There is a remedial Masseuse working from the clinic on both Thursday and Saturday. |
